Who we are
CareerSI is run by Futurize Now Consulting, Wyoming, USA. We decide what happens to your information and we answer for it. Write to us any time at hello@futurizenow.co.
What we keep
Your email address and your name. The material you hand us: résumés, cover letters, certificates, notes, and anything else you upload, paste, or bring from your Google Drive or OneDrive. From that material we draw a picture of your work and keep it with your account, along with the answers you give us about where you want to head.
The work you do here: the jobs you track and where each stands, the people you add, your plans, practice answers and rehearsals, the documents CareerSI writes with you, and your conversations with Fan, our assistant. Your plan and what you have used of it this month. If you ask us a question from inside CareerSI, it reaches us by email with your name and address so we can answer.
The free check-up
The free career check-up can be taken before you have an account. It keeps your answers, the reading we give you, and the email you leave, so we can send you a link to keep it. To stop the free door being overused we also keep a one-way scrambled form of your network address, which cannot be turned back into the address. The result sits behind a random link that is never listed anywhere; anyone you give the link to can open it.
Why we keep it
To do the one thing CareerSI is for: help you find your next job and grow into it. Your material is read so you never have to retype your own story. It is used only to serve you inside CareerSI. We do not sell it, we do not show you advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Where the law asks what gives us the right to use your information, the answer is two things. First, our agreement with you: we need it to provide the service you signed up for. Second, our legitimate interest in keeping CareerSI secure and stopping it being abused, such as the scrambled network address kept for the free check-up.
Google Drive and OneDrive
If you connect Google Drive or OneDrive, we ask for permission to read your files. We read only the folder or the files you point at, when you ask, and we bring across only files we can read (PDF, Word, Google Docs, plain text). We never write to your drive, never delete from it, and never look anywhere you did not send us. You can remove the permission at any time from your Google or Microsoft account, and remove the copies from CareerSI in Settings.
CareerSI's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Who else sees it
Other members, only where you choose. Most of CareerSI is private to you. Two parts are shared with other people, and only if you use them:
- Together. A circle of up to six people going for similar work. The others in your circle see the name you choose to show, the one line you write about yourself, and your posts and replies. If you switch them on, they also see your counts (jobs in play, applications this week, interviews) and your wins (interviews had, offers). Nobody outside your circle sees any of it. Leaving the circle removes your posts and replies.
- Help each other. When you ask for help, up to three members whose work history fits are shown what you need, your note, when suits you, and the job title it is for, but not who you are. When one offers, you see their name and latest role. Your name reaches them only once you say yes too, and then their meeting link is shared with you. If you offer help, your work history is read to match you, and you stay unnamed until you offer.
The services that run CareerSI. These work on our behalf, each seeing only what it needs for its job:
- Anthropic, for the AI: reading your material, drawing the picture, writing with you, and Fan's answers. Under Anthropic's terms for its API, what we send is not used to train its models.
- Vercel, which hosts the app.
- Neon, which holds our database.
- Cloudflare R2, which stores your files.
- Resend, which sends our emails.
- Stripe, which takes payments. You type your card into Stripe; we never see or keep card numbers.
- Trigger.dev, which runs longer work in the background.
- Sentry, which tells us when something breaks.
Looking things up for you. To find openings we ask Adzuna (a job search service) and read the public job boards employers publish on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby. To research a company, a field, or events near you, Anthropic's web search looks at public web pages and public data sources, and Futurize Now's own research tools may be asked about a topic. These searches carry what is being looked for (a job title, a place, a company), not your résumé, and nothing is ever posted in your name.
We do not sell your data or share it with employers, recruiters or advertisers. These services are based in the United States, so your information is processed there. Where the law of the place you live requires safeguards for information sent abroad, we rely on the data protection terms these providers offer, including the standard contractual clauses where they apply.
Cookies
We use one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you signed in. That is all. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click through. Your browser also remembers your light or dark choice and any draft you have not sent yet; those stay on your device and are never sent to us.
How long we keep it
While your account is open, we keep what you have given us and made here, so it is there when you come back. You can remove any document, job, person or post yourself at any time.
When you delete your account, billing stops at once: any subscription is cancelled and nothing more is charged. You are signed out everywhere, and your account is then kept for six months in case you change your mind. During those months we email you once a month, and again 15 days, 3 days and 1 day before the end, each time with a link to keep your account or to delete it straight away. Come back within the six months and everything is as you left it, including unused credits; you return on the Free plan. If you would rather not wait, you can have everything deleted at once, from Settings or from any of those emails.
When the deletion happens, we remove every file of yours from our store, any free check-up taken with your email, and then your account and everything attached to it: your profile, documents, jobs, people, plans, conversations, your place in a circle, and your requests for help. If someone else asked you for help, their request stays with them, no longer linked to you.
Our database backups roll over, so deleted information leaves them within 30 days. Stripe keeps its own record of your payments and invoices (amounts, dates and your email, never your material), and those payment and tax records are kept for seven years, as tax law requires.
Your rights and your control
- Take a copy. Settings → “Download everything” gives you one file with all of it, free.
- Correct it. Change your name, your material and the picture we drew in the app, or ask us to.
- Delete it. Delete your whole account from Settings (kept six months in case you change your mind, or deleted at once if you choose), or any single item on its own.
- Ask or object. Write to hello@futurizenow.co and a person will answer, within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Age
CareerSI is for people aged 16 and over. If you are younger, please do not sign up.
